Thanks, everybody. This morning there was on of those little "ty" stuffed toys at our doorstep. A kitty, of course.

Cute story. We had a cat we thought we 'owned' and a few years later found out he had a few other houses he called home in the neighborhood. Maybe the socks are from his other home.

Thanks Ronda. Cats can have strange loyalties. I once had a veterinarian who lived a few doors down and every time somebody opened our door his cat would come running in and insist on staying a while.

I had seen this cat on Dave Letterman, I think, so I've been hoping she doesn't escalate into bringing home the things the cat in the video did. Thanks for the site.

Maybe you should start giving her shoes to bring to the other person's house. :)

Maybe keep a "Lost and Found (by My Cat)" plastic container on the porch. :-)

sneaky kitty!

Thanks, Jota. She was meant to be an indoor cat, but she decided otherwise and with her sneaky personality would hide and as soon as someone opened the door she was gone. So now she comes and goes when she pleases. Our mail is delivered to one of those group type mail boxes and she walks me to pick up the mail every evening.
