Only if she scared somebody to death. The red flag is to warn people that this noisy monster is coming with a woman (egad!) at the wheel probably speeding along at about 15 mph if she really pushes it.

Imagine meeting a man who would do that for you!

I guess if you were rich enough to own a car then you would have servants you could make do it for you. Today? Ha!

Source didn't say, but from other readings on the subject it is old. Back in the days of Model A's and T's.

I'm sure there are plenty of men who wish this were still a law. Warning! Woman driver approaching!
