Naneki - I just finished another big B&W!

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone! My son had a hard time getting out of bed in time for school this morning. He said his legs hurt, lol!

I did, but I'm not technologically advanced enough to do anything with it. I still don't have a myspace page, though I plan to start one before I have to go back to school in a few weeks.

I built a snow man just a couple days ago. I follow my father's tradition of building a snowman, which does indeed start with a stack of big snow balls, but then gets sculpted into a more human shape. Arms, legs, face all sculpted out of snow, without sticks or carrots or lumps of coal. Usually they stand about seven feet tall.

Last year we didn't have any good snowman building days (need at least a couple inches of good sticky snow and the kids have to be out of school). This year the first good snowman day we had happened to be just a few days after our newest baby was born, so I built a snowman holding a snow baby in his arms. All the passers by seemed to be assuming it was a snow lady, so I decided to go with the flow and give it long hair and a vaguely skirt-like base.

Though I always do my best to make my snowmen look friendly and cheerful, I do tend to give them rather deep set eyes, prominent brows and big noses, in hopes of creating enough shadow so that the white-on-white face can be recognized. Somehow, after a few days of melting/weathering, their faces always turn into rather horrific grimaces. I'm a little worried what this one holding a baby is going to look like in a few days. It was holding up OK the last time I looked at it, but it had developed a serious lean, so maybe it will fall over before it starts looking like some kind of Satanic baby snatching monster.

Your photo sounds a little like a puzzle that JC made a while back. :)
