LOL, Jota! I did briefly consider another crawfish, but I don't want to become predictable. :)

before i read the description i was hoping that those weren't tire treads on its back. before i started i was wondering if it was going to be an old Alpine or maybe a Tiger.

I tried an all red back, but it didn't look right. Now that you mention it, I can see a bit of a roadkill effect.

I've read recently that black cats' fur can lighten into a dark reddish brown color when they are in the sun for a while. It is called rusting. Therefore, I like your rusted cat.

I had forgotten (or fur-gotten?) about this puzzle :)

I had to search the Honors list to see what the challenge even was. It was a 15x15 blue & red only (NO FLAGS!).
