Puzzle Description:

Flowers. In this case, yellow ones.

The yellow hibiscus is the Hawai`i state flower. It has to be pure yellow--no other colors on the flower. I hope you didn't have to guess to finish this. I did, but I don't know how to make it right.

I couldn't save w/o guessing, to fix it you have to work on the black.

Thanks Jota. I did figure it out. I have to wait until the helper says that it's logically solvable. Please try it again and let me know.

From the title, I was guessing that the answer would be "birthdays".

You got it now Jennifer! Not always the helper is as smart as to solve all puzzles, but for beginners, that's what you should look for!

That was a fun solve. (2nd version) Is the green part the stamen?

There's nothing more beautiful than Hawaiian flowers. :-) I can still remember the fresh, pungent aroma of the lei I brought home when I went there on vacation... 25 years ago!

The green is meant to be leaves. The blank areas in the green are meant to be yellow, which would be the stamen. The whole flower is yellow. Interesting to note: the yellow hibiscus is endangered, but it's grown in yards all over the islands, so it's not endangered here. Most people, even here, like the red better, but the yellow is the state flower. Thank you for your comment.
