I haven't solved it yet myself...#2: Mark Conger (aruba) on Mar 18, 2005
Very large!#3: Jan Wolter (jan) on Mar 18, 2005
Time consuming. I admit I got rather bored with it and had trouble persevering, but I did eventually make it all the way through.#4: Martial (marso) on Nov 3, 2007 [SPOILER]
When I found it unsolvable, I just removed the white spine from the back of the reptile. Maybe I should have tried a smaller size instead.#5: Rachel R (rachel) on Jul 31, 2007
It was both solvable and enjoyable.#6: Martial (marso) on Nov 3, 2007
Thanks. It turned out a little bit big, in my opinion.#7: Arduinna (arduinna) on Mar 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
Don't the reptiles turn into birds?#8: Scylla Kat (scyllacat) on Mar 17, 2008 [SPOILER]
Giant Lizards, and the People Who Graph Them, Next on Geraldo.#9: Byrdie (byrdie) on Oct 9, 2009 [SPOILER]
Agreed all round. Good puzzle, but by the time I got done, I'm all, like, Great BIG Lizard.
Love the Escher idea, though.
Solving, for me, started near the butt (and I have to insist that's not typical!) and so for the longest time I thought it was either going to be a frog or a turtle. It wasn't until I saw the eyes develope that I figured out it was going to be a gecko. A cross eyed one at that!#10: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Nov 30, 2012
Easily recognizable as from Escher. Well done.
Very enjoyable solve!#11: Velma Jones (cj) on Dec 11, 2013
Quite fun.#12: Michael Eddy (meddy) on Mar 4, 2022 [SPOILER]
I enjoyed this. I was in Oahu recently and saw a big wall painted with a tessellation of these lizards, in alternating shades of green. It was cool.
