Fun solve! I'm thankful that this is a B&W puzzle for many reasons.

I hate Nyquil! (It's the licorice flavor that I can't handle.) We call it the Green Death.
#6: Gator (gator) on Jan 27, 2012
Awesome LLS puzzle!

I think Nyquil is the only medication that does what it promises.

I don't think it is going to happen any time soon. My hubby just came back from Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Big Sky, Montana. He left with the cold and came back 16 days later with pleurisy. If I go down the same path I have at least 3 weeks left :(

I have never gotten the flu shot, but I generally don't get the flu. I'm just getting over a head cold that's lasted about 5 days.
#18: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Feb 9, 2012
When I was working as a paramedic flu shots were mandatory. Since I retired last year there was no one to make me get mine so I didn't. What I have isn't the flu though - it is just a nasty cold that won't go away.

Funny reading this after all these years. My husband has been fighting an URI for. month now...we usually get the flu shot but he can't since he's got this darn cough, etc. Thanks for the cute puzzle.
#20: Belita (belita) on May 25, 2021
I haven't had a cold in a year and a half! There are some advantages to this pandemic lockdown.
#21: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 26, 2021
Yep, flu numbers were WAY down. A few thousands, rather than tens of millions.

I'm not sure the trade-off was worth it, but if, going forward, folks who feel sick would wear a mask, that would go a long way to keeping illnesses down.
#22: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on May 26, 2021
I haven't been sick with anything (normal) either. This is the first year I have ever gotten a flu shot. I had a severe reaction. That night, for eight solid hours my body violently squeezed every drop of liquid from every orifice at its disposal. I don't remember ever having felt so hopelessly miserable. Ask me if I intend to ever get another flu shot.
#23: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 26, 2021
Still better than two weeks of the same, imho.
