There are 8!^4 solutions to this puzzle. That is 2,642,908,283,000,000,000 (to the precision of my calculator).#5: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on May 17, 2020
That's 8! (8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1 = 40,320) solutions in each of the four corners. And since the four sections are independent of each other, they get multiplied together to get the final number of solutions.
Found to require lots of guessing by infrapinklizzard.
