Beautiful Kit E. Tom I don't think they have dad waiting rooms anymore, most fathers watch the birth. When Destyny was born we had her 2 brothers, her grandma and grandpa and myself watching. My son J-d and I almost needed life jackets when they broke Niki's water,it was a tidal wave.#4: Janet (jltho) on Jun 17, 2011

Thanks for the positive comments. Title changed as you suggested, Kristen.#8: Jota (jota) on Jun 19, 2011
I did fail to mention in the description that the picture is not entirely accurate. Although the chrysalis is depicted as hanging from a milkweed, the caterpillars leave their food plant and move to a neighboring plant to enter their pupal stage (I assume this is a self-defense mechanism to avoid being consumed by their hungry brethren who might not be able to tell a chrysalis from a milkweed leaf, perhaps?). Upper left flowers are part of the umbrell of the milkweed (substituting blue for pink or lavender), and lower right is a clump of ageratum (a prefered food plant of Monarch butterflies).
Beautiful! Thanks!#9: Jane Doe (telly) on Jun 19, 2011
