this would make a good series - i love the quirkiness of the cat - how its tilting its head, and the nonchalant bird on top. you really do wonderful small puzzles, tom.

Fun puzzle, Tom. Matt doesn't look too sure of this "friendship."

You are now up to 16 comments out of 187 solvers. That's a pretty good ratio.

Shiver, Shiver. :-)

Add me to the list - love it, too. This made me think of something I read in a book about teaching pets to coexist (cats and parakeets, for example). The book said "dogs and cats can learn that we don't eat our friends." I always laugh when I think of that, and I really think it's true.

I see a double picture. 1, what everyone else has described. 2. an artistic mouse with a blue head and red collar, holding a paint palette.
#20: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Mar 31, 2012 [SPOILER]
I don't know how I missed this. Is it the historic first Matt the Kat puzzle?
#21: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Mar 31, 2012 [SPOILER]
This may be the first Trudy puzzle, but I believe in the first one, Matt the Kat is l@@kin' for that rat.
