Nice.
#2: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Nov 15, 2010 [SPOILER]
don't see many rolls of film anymore, well done
#3: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Nov 15, 2010 [SPOILER]
Almost an anachronism. Fewer and fewer places are selling film these days.
#4: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Nov 15, 2010
Nicely done
#5: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Nov 15, 2010
clever
nice execution
#6: Debbie Weidig (dweidig) on Nov 17, 2010
Wow - I haven't gotten to do one of these in a long time. Glad to see you are all still here, puzzling away! Thanks for the puzzle - nice!
#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Nov 18, 2010
Nice one, Travis.
#8: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 4, 2011 [SPOILER]
very nice, fun solve. is that the "G" from AGFA?

also (because i'm a jerk) i'm going to point out that this can not be an "anachronism" because there is no chronologically inconsistent context...or ANY context for that matter.
#9: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 4, 2011
David, I don't think you're a jerk. Your point is a good one, and I for one appreciate it when puzzlers post information that helps some of us us broaden our vocabulary and other intellectual horizons. :-)
#10: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jan 4, 2011
So David, what do you call something that goes the way of the Dodo bird?
#11: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 6, 2011
"extinct" ...but i don't think that applies here either.

how about, for this situation, "obsolescent"? ...or to use more of your original context "almost obsolete".

"antiquated"?
#12: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jan 7, 2011
Those are excellent.
#13: Jota (jota) on Jan 23, 2011
Nice exchange David and Brian ... Demode ...
#14: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 24, 2011
oui oui!
#15: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Nov 29, 2011 [SPOILER]
Way cool! You could go with passe'.

Or, with a snotty tone of voice, "That is SO second millenium."
#16: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Nov 29, 2011 [SPOILER]
I think I would pick "antiquated". It is a transitive verb and can be seen as implying that something (other than time) has made it "old" -- in this case, digital cameras.
#17: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Nov 30, 2011
thanks to the both of you..kristen and joe
#18: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 30, 2017
Wonderful little puzzle and like so many small puzzles, underrated.
#19: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Dec 30, 2017
Difficult to see but very clever and no guessing needed.
#20: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Dec 31, 2017
