Puzzle Description:
It's a jackalope! I remember being very impressed when I saw one that had been stuffed and mounted, back when I was a kid.

The one you saw stuffed and mounted was probably a fake. They are danged near impossible to kill or capture.

I seem to recall a variety show in the 70's that occasionally had a jackalope sketch. Between "Captain & Tenille" and "Donny & Marie" shows, one had a jackalope that eluded hunters; the other had a bionic watermelon that solved crimes.#15: derby (Derby) on Dec 28, 2020
