for some reason recently my grid lines, the ones that define the five x five boxes are not clear, some are darker and some are the same shade so i have to count each square, bit annoying having to constantly count the squares, any suggestions? thanks

Could it be the zoom setting of your browser?

Gator probably has the correct diagnosis. Most browsers have some zoom options, often under the "View" menu. Usually there is a "reset zoom" option (ctrl-zero is often the short cut).

Normally the lines are one-pixel wide, and the lines between every fifth line are two pixels wide. If the image is zoomed 20% then the browser can't draw all the lines 20% wider. So instead it draws about 20% of them one pixel wider. This makes a mess. The first time I encountered this I spent hours trying to debug my code before I figured out what was going on.
