While I was solving it, I was thinking about how people like Ikea furniture better than furniture that they didn't have to assemble themselves, because assembling something makes people feel more attached to it. I wonder if the same thing applies to paint-by-number puzzles. I solved it, so now I'm attached to it.
From the colors and the time of year, before I started, I thought it would be about the Grinch.
I do think we've had a number of puzzle creators who've had life events get in the way of creating puzzles. Maybe we need to attract more people to the site? Or magically heal people!!

Acts of creation can be pretty rare, even if the outcome is predetermined (Ikea furniture or solving puzzles). Solving or creating puzzles gives a taste of what I'm missing and could be motivating.
