Out of all the wrong guesses, I have to vote for Jan Young's as the best so far (no offense to all of the others, they were good too). Answer tomorrow! :-)

I wish I could see the answer now. Once I solve a puzzle I almost never go back to it again. So, I guess I'll just never know what it is. And by tomorrow, I probably won't care what it is, certainly not enough to go back looking for it. On these kinds of puzzles, can you find a way to tell those who want to know what it is, and keep it hidden for those who don't?

Maybe my idea to put the answer later on wasn't a good one Adam, seems to be causing a bit of discord amongst some users, might be better to go back to your original set up? Sorry! :)

It occurs to me that these close-up constitute a class of puzzle in which the goal is (sort of) to make an unrecognizable image. A bit strange, and maybe not entirely satisfying.

I am sorry you don't care for them. It seems like many others do. I want them just barely recognizable enough for solvers to maybe figure out what they might be a close-up of. I am not trying to disappoint anyone or make these too difficult. I have some advice from people (before I publish them) as to whether or not I need to make them easier or harder to guess (not to solve).

I remember what you wrote before, saying something like "personally I don't care if this series continues or not." That actually made me want to continue, so thank you.

I like these, so please continue!

Yes, Jan Young, I did know that and I am doing it now, obviously, because I am here now. I guess I'm just saying that I would prefer to know immediately after I do the puzzle, not the next day, when I no longer care. But that's just me. I was hoping there was some way to satisfy me as well as others. I enjoy solving the puzzles, but don't really don't have any desire to guess at what they are when I'm done. Again, just me. Cranky old lady, that's me.

Doreen, I hope what I have done helps you. You can find the answer immediately by looking in Forum #118 (for the answer to Close-up puzzles #21 and all the rest of the future ones)
but it lets people who want to guess have that opportunity as well.

I know! I saw all the smiley faces! I was teasing you back, and then you got upset. LOL Oops.

I haven't even come close to guessing one. Since I have always done them days (if not months) after they are made, I have no wait to see what they are. :) They are very cool and it seems to me a lot of people are having a blast with them, so I say, "keep them coming."
