Yes, a huge tragedy. So far they have ruled out terrorism. It's hard to imagine that such a land mark that has survived so much to be brought down by a freak accident. I wonder if they will be able to determine the cause since so much was destroyed.

A reminder of the fragility of precious treasures. Thankfully, no human life was lost, the most precious valuable of all. And thankfully so much money has been donated for restoration.
