My appologies to the people who solved this puzzle previously, I accidently published it before I had checked it properly, I couldn't even solve it with logic myself :)

Well, it's solvable now, though still challenging, and a fun picture. Thanks.

So you ARE an Aussie, Marie-Louise!

Lol...I thought so with your "coot" comment on another puzzle. I almost asked you then if you were, but I didn't want to venture that question, being fairly new to this site.

I swear at first I though it was a butterfly (top part), then a cow smoking a red pipe and finally a few pixels before the end, I saw Rudolf. 3.5 days in the city and already going crazy.

Wonderful! And quite a challenge too!

A really late comment: Many, many, MANY years ago when I sang with the McGill Choral Society we presented an annual Christmas concert, and one year we sang a set of four Australian Christmas carols, with words all about green grass and birds in the trees. Our concerts were recorded and I still have the albums as well as the recordings transferred decades later to CD. The songs were "The Silver Stars are in the Sky," "Christmas Day," "The Day that Christ was Born On," and "Sing Gloria." I loved them then, and I think I'll have a listen now. It's summer here, so the season is just right.
