Thanks all. Long time friends. Fun to create a couple. For those that don't know me, I am pretty inartistic, but I like creating difficult puzzles. Then I get into disagreements over ranking difficulty. I haven't created one for over 11 months. Testing the waters, seeing under "average" difficulty makes me crawl back into my hole and not make more. This wasn't, "tough," but at least "average" in difficulty. I may do a couple more, then again, I may not. If this is below average in difficulty, please tell me why?

Tom, we are still having the same problem with the sicko people who like to play with the ratings. If you have worked many of Travis', puzzles you know how great they all are. Very artistic!

But the sickos come along and dole out one's and two's. Not that my puzzles are anything wonderful, but i often find one's I've worked pretty hard on get only a one by the first rater. Later it averages out, but it is kind of irritating. You just have to rely on what your REAL friends on this site tell you. If you want us to tell you what we think in a comment, we can do that. But please don't give up. And as you can see by Joe's comment in #8, this puzzle is not falling down easy.

It's really great to have you back.

Very kind of you, Norma. Thanks ;)

73 out of 148 attempts solved it (less than half). There are 7 raters (I rated it a 4, so 6). 3 out of 6 rated it a 2 or 1 in difficulty. I never care about the artistic aspect. I know I am not... However, I really care about difficulty. Please rate both aspects, even if you can't solve it. Suck it up and admit it is tough. It took me a long time to figure out edge logic, Reading comments and the methods to figure out the edge are important, I had lots of Gator's puzzle on hold, and BINGO, got it and solved them. Then, I started creating puzzles. Mine aren't beautiful like Travis, David, Norma and others, but I hold my own.

Thank yous :)

Norma: Why wouldn't someone be honest if they like your puzzle or couldn't solve it? Yours are of much higher quality than mine (as are Kurt's, Travis's, Brian's, Aldege's, Jota's, Tom's, et al). Where is Teresa? I'll schlep a few more in and see how it goes...

I don't remember his exact words, but Jan said he ran across someone that rated every puzzle exactly the same no matter the quality or the difficulty. I think he said they rated everything with a two. So with people like that out there you can't trust the ratings to be an accurate reflection. Looking forward to more from you, Tom.

Tom, I don't generally rate puzzle, but do make comments when I enjoy them. Keep up the good work :)

Did Uncle Tom buy him his new toy? Bet it's lots of fun

Good to have you back, Tom!

I don't even look at the ratings, after I make a new puzzle. I just care about the comments. I usually don't rate, unless I think a puzzle has been rated way too high or way too low. I did rate yours on difficulty, because you asked. It was easy for me, but I can see how it would be more difficult for someone who isn't used to wheels.

Thanks, Susan, Heather and Kristen. Yes, but he found that one in my garage 2 weeks before his birthday. As well as the piece de resistance, a UW Husky solid metal pedal car. I re-hid it and he forgot about it. Hit of the party (more so for the dads than the kids but it was about equal). :)
