So cute and so true of toddlers. Thought at first it was going to be about potty time. :)
#2: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Jan 9, 2014
that's rough but, in time her 2 minutes will be 2 minutes and eventually no time outs needed...good puzzle..stay strong :)

Thx auntie Norma,Heather and Kristen, and uncles Travis and Sensei,if she could only realize that the sooner she calms down, the sooner the time out would end,but no Niki just starts the clock and Destyny starts screaming and acting up again.

I swear it's all your fault uncle Sensei.:)
#7: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jan 10, 2014
lol
#8: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Jan 10, 2014
I can't imagine going through this at my age (close to your age Aldege). I don't have the patience anymore. Great puzzle BTW
#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 10, 2014
Thx auntie Susan, there are days when I don't have the patience and I feel overwhelmed.Whenever I lose it,I feel like crap for raising my voice at her,and then she comes to me and says she needs me and gives me the biggest hug. You would think she would be mad at me,but instead she just needs to know that I love her. It breaks my heart sometimes. I can remember as a kid my mom beating the crap out of me. I never stopped loving her,and I know that with all the stress she was under and after she lost her temper that she loved me and I'm sure she felt like crap. There are days when I hate being a new parent again at my age,but for the most part I love it,and I know I couldn't live without my 2 girls.:)
#10: Jota (jota) on Jan 10, 2014
Could she be jealous? BESOS
#11: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 11, 2014
We thought about that auntie Jota, but I think it's got more to do with the terrible two's.I spend even more time with Destyny now that Chastydy is here, and Destyny loves to spend time with her sister and me together. She's real good with her. Niki also gets Destyny involved in changing Chastydy and giving her her baths, which Destyny loves.I think daddy has spoiled Destyny and she just needs to know that bad behaviour is not acceptable. Of course it is not fair to scold a child for screaming and yelling, when everyone around her is doing it. It can be very hard to be a good parent and set the right example. Destyny is a wonderful little girl,I'm sure she will turn out just fine.:)

correction... she's a princess

:)

I'm in a similar situation, Aldege, my grandkids live with me, age 7, 3 and 18 mo. Just when i think i'm going crazy they do something adorable that makes me happy that life is so good and just as soon as i start counting my blessings they drive me crazy and wear me out. I have the same problem with the 3 year old and time out. She turns everything into a long drawn out drama because she just won't sit quietly. But it is getting better... at least she will stay in one spot while she cries.
#15: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 11, 2014
Small children seem to be forever testing and learning their boundaries and unfortunately along the way, they also learn that we, their parents, aren't perfect.
#16: Jota (jota) on Jan 11, 2014
I hear you Al! May be timeout should be away from the "action".
OMG Parenting is really difficult!
#17: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 11, 2014
cool lil pic and solve Al!

side note: time out didn't exist when I was a kid...not in my house, anyway.
#18: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 11, 2014
Time out was when you were sent to your bed room to cry while your rear-end cooled off after the hiding you got.
#19: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 11, 2014
ok then...I'll buy that, N ;)
#20: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 11, 2014
We had the neatest little chihuahua rat-terrier mix that would come running a jump on my bed and howl while I howled. He was so funny that I would soon be laughing instead.

#24: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 11, 2014
Auntie teresa are you doing this alone? or do you have a significant other to help out. I don't know how single mothers do it.Thx everyone, that is great advice auntie JoDeen,I never thought of acting it out. Niki said she did that with one of her boys and it worked good. We'll give it a try.:)

Thx uncle Kurt.:)
#25: valerie (violetkyra) on Jan 12, 2014
I'm not a sports person but don't hockey players get 5 for fighting? It would be a boring polite sport if they got a time out for their ages. and I wonder what if kids got minutes based on the act they did? ok now I'm rambling. stay strong :)
#26: Joel Lynn (furface1) on Jan 12, 2014
Well, by the title, my first thought was the end of a pro or college basketball game.

One of the reasons I never had kids was because I don't think I'd have the patience to deal with their tantrums. More power to those of you who do!
#27: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 13, 2014
That was probably very wise of you Joel Lynn. As much as I love my kids,I often think that I should never of had any, because I don't feel like I can provide for them the way they need. I always wonder and worry if I'm doing enough for them.
#28: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 13, 2014
If you didn't worry about it, Aldege. THEN you wouldn't be doing enough for them. It's obvious that you give them love in copious amounts and that's the most important.
#29: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jan 13, 2014
ditto Norma
