Glad you like it, that's why I make these puzzles. :)

I'm kinda having difficulty coming up with subjects, which is why this is only my third puzzle. I was surprised to see how well this one turned out.
#3: Jen (lightvader) on Jan 4, 2008
It came out very well. Nice job!

Fun little puzzle. Thank you! ^>^

Yes, I noticed that after I already created this puzzle. I'm not sure I would want to try doing that though...

As someone living in Minnesota who just made it through a day in the 20s F and snow yesterday I only have one thing to say:

*YUCK*

Actually I don't mind snow too much. But the cold really bites.

ADAM - watch it.
#21: m2 (mercymercy) on Nov 26, 2008
What??? Complaining about 20s??? We had 5 a couple days ago.
#22: Twillis (twillis) on Nov 26, 2008
I have a coworker originally from India, and she was expressing disbelief about how cold our winters here in Kansas City got. I asked her how cold it got where she was from, and she said it got to the 20s.

So I'm thinking, well, gosh, she should be used to this, what's the big deal? And then my husband suggested that perhaps she was talking 20 C, not 20 F.

Oh yeah. Bit of a difference, then.
#23: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 26, 2008
Martin, what is your intention (referring to "ADAM - watch it" in #20)???
#24: m2 (mercymercy) on Nov 27, 2008
In about a month I expect temperatures around -30 and that is where F and C meet.
#25: Twillis (twillis) on Nov 27, 2008
Wow, I can't even imagine what -30 must be like.

I'm not sure I've even ever experienced -20 (not counting wind chill).

Whenever we start going below zero here, I find myself thinking about this science fiction short story: http://www.webscription.net/chapters/0743498747/0743498747___6.htm

You might find it interesting.
#26: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 27, 2008
Honestly, once you get to zero or below, you really can't feel much difference. It is just COLD!!!!
#27: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Nov 27, 2008
wrong I'm in Quebec my friend and there an enormous diffrent between little chilly -5 C and mid january frozen storm with winds and -30C

Shovelling at 4 am by -30C to go to work is a lot diffrent than pushing little snow of your windshield by a sunny winter -10C
#28: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 27, 2008
I am glad you can feel the difference. I have been in both as well, and I stop caring to notice any difference below zero. Like I said, everything on your face freezes no matter what!
#29: Byrdie (byrdie) on Nov 27, 2008
To Adam - I figured you for a snappy comment about cold biting ...
<smile>

We've already had several days in single digits. On the other hand, we had a high of 40F today and I actually saw a kid out in just a t-shirt. Pretty good for Thanksgiving day. We typically have a snow storm somewhere between the Monday before and the Sunday after but the forecasters don't think that's going to happen this year.
#30: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 27, 2008
Why single me out? I never said or did anything to you, so why start with me?
#31: Deana L (ffswife) on Nov 27, 2008
He's teasing you Adam...
#32: m2 (mercymercy) on Nov 28, 2008
Sylvain... I think you are forgetting that Adam is thinking in F degrees. 0 for him is -17 for us. Even though I would say that there is still a big difference. At -25C I need to cover my mouth to be able to breath.
#33: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 28, 2008
That's fine, Deana, but I still asked the question of why ME out of so many others?
#34: Nancy Snyder (naneki) on Nov 28, 2008
lol...'cause your too easy :)
#35: Deana L (ffswife) on Nov 28, 2008
What Nancy said. ;)
#36: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 28, 2008
You guys might know that, because you have known me for a while. HE wouldn't.

That's easy enough to solve, though. I can ignore people the way they ignore me. I guess I will just continue to say what I feel, just like anyone else on here.
#37: Deana L (ffswife) on Nov 28, 2008
Uhm... Adam...? Good luck with that. You're too easy to goad. You can TRY to ignore people, but when it comes right down to it, you love it! ;)
#38: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 28, 2008
I guess I didn't say that quite right. I meant, I will ignore people when they tell me to shut up or to change my comments. The only thing I love is speaking my mind.

So I may say something that doesn't fit the flow of the conversation, and by doing so, I am in a way "ignoring" people. Make sense?
#39: Deana L (ffswife) on Nov 28, 2008
ok, yeah, maybe.... but you won't mind if I don't believe it til I see it, right? :)
#40: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 28, 2008
Why would I mind? No one else does.
#41: Deana L (ffswife) on Nov 28, 2008
lol
#42: Byrdie (byrdie) on Nov 29, 2008
Actually, "HE" would. I can't remember where but there was some other puzzle where I made a comment that was either a double entendre' or which could be misinterpreted and, I won't use the word "pounced", you availed yourself of the opportunity. I obviously have a sense of humor because I was able to interpret that comment in the light in which it was intended.

Apparently my sense of humor is not as clear to you and your memory may be shorter than mine or you comment in so many places that its difficult to remember when you've made a humorous comment. Therefore I hereby promise never to single you out again.

It would seem to me that you do mind. Otherwise, why bring it up?
#43: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 29, 2008
All I ever do on this site is joke around. Sometimes people take it too far, though. That's all.

I only brought up the "you" issue because you singled me out. That in and of itself isn't a huge problem, but I just felt that it was unmerited since you are fairly new here, and really don't know me well enough yet. No harm done.
#44: Teresa K (fasstar) on Nov 29, 2008
How interesting. Hmmmm. I understand exactly why Byrdie made that remark, and I thought it was funny, based on what I have read previously.

How well we know each other depends on how much of ourselves we reveal. I've been reading through the forum messages and I have to say I feel like I am getting to know a lot of you, especially those who are so prolific.

Reminds me of when I go to some other city and speak at a conference, and parents who have spent hours at my website will come up to me and give me a big hug and act like we are long lost buddies. I may not know this person from Adam (the proverbial one, of course), but they feel like they know me well, because I have shared so much of my personal experience on my website.

It's hard to tell ssometimes how people will respond to teasing, especially in text format without the nonverbal cues. I'll tell you now, if anyone teases me, I can take it. After all, I grew up with 6 brothers. Yeah, I know what it is like to be teased.
#45: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 29, 2008
I am so happy for you!
#46: Edith Clark (eclark) on Aug 14, 2011
And all this because someone made a snowflake. :)
#47: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Aug 14, 2011
There are a lot of flakes on this site... (self included ;)
#48: Edith Clark (eclark) on Aug 15, 2011
Cute.
#49: Kadou (Kadou) on Mar 1, 2012
Ditto #5 & #12
Re #24 It's actually -40C = -40F.
#50: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 1, 2012
(C/5*9)+32=F
(F-32)/9*5=C
Easy, right?

#51: Kathryn Shattuck (LogicLover) on Apr 9, 2013
After I finished this puzzle I looked outside through my sliding glass door that is blocked by two feet of snow and still accumulating. Yay South Dakota.
#52: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 24, 2013
Nice little puzzle back from the beginning days :)
