I used to get a quarter -- long long time ago, of course. I wish I still had those coins -- pre 1964 they were silver, and would be worth a fair amount today.
My nephew got a dollar -- also a number of years ago. He felt cheated because his cousin got $5. The next time the tooth fairy visited my nephew she gave him $5. She also gave him a note saying the $5 was just a loan, and he owed her four teeth.
