Nicely done even if I can't say them.#2: Gjertrud F (Mitikipve) on May 24, 2010 [SPOILER]
They are pronounced a little bit different depending on it being a short or long vowel (at least in Norwegian)#3: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on May 24, 2010
You probably use the å sound frequently in words like port, war (short) and flaw (long)
Ø is used in words like learn and burn
Æ is more difficult and I can only find the words bad and sad (at the moment)
looks like greek to me lol#4: ant (agrest272) on May 24, 2010 [SPOILER]
seems like Ø and Æ are similar to the German ö and ä. Interesting stuff.#5: Gjertrud F (Mitikipve) on May 24, 2010 [SPOILER]
The Ø is the same (basically), but æ and ä is definitely not the same.#6: ant (agrest272) on May 25, 2010 [SPOILER]
Really? most pronunciation sites say that the long ä is pronounced like 'bad', like in the word wäre. Then again I don't speak either language natively so I guess you would know better than me :)#7: Gjertrud F (Mitikipve) on May 25, 2010 [SPOILER]
Sure you're not mixing it with the Swedish pronunciation? They use ö and ä were we use ø and æ, but in the German language (as far as I've learned) it's pronounced more like a long e.#8: Gjertrud F (Mitikipve) on May 25, 2010 [SPOILER]
That would be, the way we say the e - more like your é - like in pokémon#9: Jane Doe (telly) on May 25, 2010
interesting, I learned something new. :)#10: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on May 25, 2010
