Puzzle Description:

Mr. May leans out his front door one day and sees blossoms on his apple tree and the sun shining, and believes that spring has arrived. The next day, he leans out to discover it has snowed the night before. The apple blossoms have all blown away, the branches and lawn are now covered with snow. Brrrrr, his nose has turned red!

This one is for my son, Chris. He and his bride-to-be just bought a house in Colorado Springs. He loves his apple tree in the back yard that he told me is full of beautiful white blossoms. But it might snow tonight. I hope the baby apple buds survive.

I too like Mr. May and his dog! It sure shouldn't snow that much in May ... I think summer is just about here where I am.

Amazing puzzle, although I found the story a little silly. The speckled trees were really interesting to solve. And what about the dog? How does s/he feel about everything?

That's the way the weather is in Colorado (and many other places) where you can go from spring one day to winter the next day to summer the next day. As you can see, the dog does NOT like the snow. :-)
