Puzzle Description:
Make it do, or do without. Folks during the Great Depression knew the best way to recycle is not to throw it away in the first place!

Keep in mind most of the people then had more space to save stuff; and most things were fixable. With so much being made of plastic and fake wood, fixing isn't nearly as possible. Also, in many cases a part with shipping costs more than throwing something out and replacing. That said, when possible, I do believe in repairing, recyling into something else, or giving a working item to someone else that can use it.#2: Trish (tryingmysoul) on Nov 16, 2010

That was a bit of a challenge for me. Fun color logic. Nice clean image.#5: Eva Carner (suneva) on Nov 26, 2010
Good message too. I think I inherited my parents' frugality. I follow their philosophy, "Waste not. Want not."
Thanks as always for the kind comments. BlackCat's observation about giving unwanted items to someone else reminded me about the Freecycle Network http://www.freecycle.org/ which great for giving AND receiving.
