Yep, Sanane, there are lots of people without a lot of smarts and even less common sense. I work with them every day and raised two of them. Stupidity cannot be helped by those with limited intellectual capacity. And intelligence is a gift, not an accomplishment, nothing to take credit for or to use to judge others. I'm guessing you meant something else by the term "idiots" though. Maybe you were referring to those who have intelligence but don't use it wisely, or use it to cause harm.

Tom, the brain belongs to my son John (who some might call an "idiot" because most of the time he does stupid things and is inappropriate and immature). John doesn't have as many cogs and wheels up there as the rest of us, but what he has he uses well. And since April is alcohol awareness month, I'll let you see what he has to say, that makes him a better person than most smart people I know:

(John's short talk starts at 2:50 and lasts about 90 seconds)

no, i was not referring to that. in fact, i was referring to idiots that surrounds us everyday everywhere. it is cruel but true. most members of our species are egocentric lazy idiots who cannot care or think beyond their interests. that is the reason that we are (i mean the all life forms on this planet) on the edge of a global catastrophe. i would like to write so much more, i just don't want to be politically incorrect.

Wow. That video was incredibly moving, Teresa. You are an incredible woman, and I'm deeply impressed with the grace with which you've met your (and John's) challenges. Thank you for sharing it with us.

(and BTW, fun puzzle too!)

I thought the picture might be a little girl with flowers in her hair. Kids could be considered to have "renewable energy" if you feed them and they get enough rest (or if you give them sweets before bedtime... :) ).

Thanks, Linda.

I appreciate your kind words, Amy.

Joel, you are absolutely right! When John was younger, he had more energy than any kid I had ever seen. Take a look:

A special puzzle, Teresa.
My favorite source is a nap lol.
My son has a lot of emotional and psychological problems. People misunderstand him and treat him badly. We knew he would need extra time so we kept him at home until he was 22. He's been on his own for a year and working full time at a book/movie store. We are so proud of what he has accomplished! To some that may not seem like a big deal, but he has really conquered so many things that doctors and teachers said he never would. I think you are amazing in your role as a Mother and an Advocate. I wish there were more people like you.

Thanks, Sarah. And congratulations on your son's wonderful success. I know what that kind of accomplishment means. :-)

When I saw a head forming in the outline, I thought it might be laughter. :)

That's a great source of good energy too, Kristen! :-D
