I solved as much as I could by logic, then saved it, then I went into guessing mode and solved the rest really quickly without having to look at the numbers at the side of the grid. It was fun, thanx.#6: Arduinna (arduinna) on Sep 12, 2007 [HINT] [SPOILER]

This puzzle dates back to before we had the "checker" on the site, which can nearly always determine if a puzzle has a unique solutions. In those days I sometimes used to manually check for uniqueness using the "helper" program. If I got hopelessly stuck, I'd make a guess, use the helper to see if it hit a contradiction, if it did, backtrack and invert the guess. Using procedures like that I could determine if there was a unique solution, but still wouldn't necessary have legitimately solved it.#10: Iain Dunlop (ham guru) on Apr 11, 2017 [HINT] [SPOILER]
