Yeah it's true lot of festivity in the summer, love for music and great food, beautiful women, all that because of some "horse eater" ( sorry frenchie) down in the old country.

THat the ultimate proof that France is not as bad a place as we like to say....

I was expecting a pelican as the symbol of Louisiana. The fleur-de-lis is definitely popular in LA, but I think of it more as a symbol of France. :)

The connection makes a lot of sense since the Cajuns come from French Canada. Cajun is a mispronunciation of Acadian.
