Limelight. Originally this was a type of stage lighting created by a flame burning oxygen and hydrogen which is aimed at a cylinder of quicklime (calcium oxide) that is heated to more than 2400 degrees C, at which point it emits an intense glow. The limelight effect was discovered by Goldsworthy Gurney around 1820. I first thought it was a leaf on the left, but since leaflight is neither a word nor an established concept, I knew that wasn't it. I stuck it out and looked a little closer until the leaf looked like a lime. Limelight worked so I checked the comments, and sure enough!
