Puzzle Description:

Inspired by Gator to make a super small puzzle that requires some thinking. Oh and I guess it's a fish.. or a Goomba on its side :P

An exercise in smile logic, required twice in this puzzle.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.
#3: Gator (Gator) on Mar 31, 2010 [HINT]
I saw smile logic once...
#4: Matt Coulter (mcoulter) on Mar 31, 2010 [HINT]
Once in columns 1-2 to start out with, and then again in columns 4-5 to end it?
#5: Vicki Woods (vickicwoods) on Mar 31, 2010
I'm feeling smarter and smarter. Thanks for more small puzzles.

That's the sort of puzzle I like. Nice
#7: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Apr 3, 2010
was fun ant

Line logic on column 2 leads to the obvious solution for column 3 - there's only 1 way to place it that won't overlap with column 2. From there, the rest of the puzzle basically solves it's self. At least that's the way it worked for me.

Fun puzzle, funny description.
#10: Jota (jota) on Apr 6, 2010 [SPOILER]
Cute fish!

I used the search engine to find some small, difficult puzzles, and now I've figured out a new bit of logic. :) Thanks for the challenge.
#12: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Sep 19, 2012 [HINT]
here's a two-way logic version of the solve:

- LL
- whether C1R1 or C1R2 is black, either dot in C2 will make at least C2R4 black
- LL to finish

Hm, maybe I should follow Diana W's example. I was looking for super small puzzles that would help with the basic beyond-line-logic methods. I never considered using the search engine, but I wondered how I didn't, now.

I had to GGogle to find what smile logic was, and the search sent me to a subpage in the FAQ here that I'd never looked at. So that was a bit of overkill! But it's good to knnow it's there now.
