Puzzle Description:

The research vessle (R/V Endeavor) I was on at the time of creating this puzzle....at sunrise.

#1: Bionerd (nieboo) on Oct 13, 2007 [SPOILER]

I had to really change the look of the ship...and make the waves stupid looking..but this is my first one.

Not a bad picture. I think I can tell from the expression on the captain's face that you've been off observing the structure and dynamics of midshelf fronts off the coast of New Jersey and are on your way home to Narragansett.

Wow, that's a pretty good assessment. I'm kinda freaked out now. :)
I'm hoping you just found Endeavor's website and are not sitting in the bushes somewhere watching me.

Yeah, the mighty google rules. Endeavor has an unusually informative web page, with a nifty map that shows where it is, and a schedule that shows it's various missions. I could also have given you the current wind speed and temperature and various other similar information.

It's funny to think that a web site I built in my basement is being used by people on research ships, and in many other curious locations all over the world.

It's a great site! But it distracts me from my research quite often...which I believe keeps me sane.

Congratulations Bionerd on creating your first puzzle. In true form, I did your very first puzzle last! This is a terrific puzzle first one or not. :)

I finally got around to solving my own puzzle. Kinda nostalgic. My first experience with Jan's all-knowing wisdom. :)

I think this puzzle and the inspiration behind it are really cool. Fun solve too.

I was expecting a space shuttle, but I like your story better!

I enjoyed solving the puzzle very much, but I liked the back-story even better.
