Puzzle Description:

I was eating some carrots - so I thought I would make a puzzle of one.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.
#2: Gator (Gator) on Mar 23, 2010 [HINT]
Edge logic in column 1 and row 20 to start. Edge logic a little later in column 3. Line logic the rest of the way.
#3: Levi Ross (rhodyboy888) on Mar 23, 2010 [HINT] [SPOILER]
Ditto #2. I started the exact same way. I don't like carrots though - sorry. Fun puzzle.
#4: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Mar 23, 2010 [SPOILER]
After I found the 4 on left side, was a peace of cake(carrot)lol
#5: ant (agrest272) on Mar 23, 2010 [SPOILER]
some fun edge logic on this one. reminds me of a carrot from winnie the pooh
#6: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Mar 23, 2010 [HINT]
This was fun. I alternated edge logic between column-row-column as you described. Nice puzzle.
#7: Sallie Wilbur (sarriemom) on Mar 23, 2010
Good brain food!
#8: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Mar 24, 2010 [HINT]
Great puzzle! One doesn't expect to do edge logic on 4s and 3s!
#9: Merili (merilinnuke) on Mar 24, 2010 [HINT]
Great edge logic!
#10: Gator (Gator) on Mar 24, 2010
Thanks all.
#11: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Mar 24, 2010 [HINT]
used edge logic on the left 4 or 5 columns to start, then line logic took over. very pleasant exercise!
#12: Josh Greifer (joshgreifer) on Mar 25, 2010
Very good fun to solve!
#13: Gator (Gator) on Mar 26, 2010
Thanks Al and Josh.
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Mar 26, 2010
Super fun! Just the right amount of challenge to make it interesting but not frustrating.
#15: Joseph Jessen (gijoex2) on Mar 27, 2010
Wasn't it the Rabbit from Captain Kangaroo that never liked eating the greens from the carrots?
#16: Debbie Weidig (dweidig) on Mar 31, 2010 [SPOILER]
Ha - that was fun to do! Pretty unusual to have no first move at all without edge logic. (Except in Gator-ville, of course!)

Thanks for my last serving of veggies today!

Why can't you eat the green part? Is it poisonous?
#18: Jota (jota) on Apr 8, 2010 [SPOILER]
They ARE edible and are highly nutritive, rich in protein, minerals and vitamins. The tops of the carrots are loaded with potassium which can make them bitter, so the use of them in food might be limited.
#19: Jane Doe (telly) on Apr 8, 2010
interesting Jota. I've never tried the tops before. I do like the carrot part of them though.
great puzzle.
#20: Gator (Gator) on Apr 16, 2010

Thanks marz
#26: Bryan (Cyclone) on Dec 31, 2013 [HINT]
I solved as Gator described in #2. Exactly how I did it. And ingeniously easy to those who get the edge quickly.
