Puzzle Description:

This is my first puzzle. I made it on a snowy April day in the Rockies.

#1: Jan Wolter (jan) on Apr 8, 2007

very handsome, and a terrific first effort. There is, however, a small glitch. It has two possible solutions.
It's possible that a bit of editing on the green parts of the puzzle could fix the probelm.

Cool, the multiple solution problem has been fixed. Still looks great and solves great too. Nice job.

Wonderful! you managed to pack a whole lot of puzzle into such a small package, that's snow spring picnic...[alright, groaning on this end too]

Such a lovely picture Jane-o! And it was your first one too! A belated congratulations!
Thank you for sharing your puzzle. It was cheery and springy. What did the summer look like in the Rockies? ^v^

Summer, Fall and Winter are gorgeous here. Spring is just kind of late and very short. I hike around for exercise and am looking forward to my favorite Garden of the Gods hike looking down from on high onto a large swath of trees of many colors on one side and the red rocks on the other. Here's a link to some photos taken about a 15 minute drive from my house. Thanks for asking.

Jane-o, thank you sooo much for sharing your photos. I'll need to have my jaw surgically shut as it dropped upon seeing the first shot and I can't close it now! Those are stunning photos. I've never seen so many shades of blue. Your hike is aptly named. You are a lucky woman! You live in an awesome place. So beautiful. The pic through cathedral rock took my breath away. How sweet that the camels continue to kiss!

I hope more people look at these photos, they're so pretty it's nearly impossible to believe.
Thank you, thank you!

Enjoy your return hike. I'm so glad that I went back to find this puzzle.

Do you mind that I call you Jane-o? Would you prefer another name?

Either Jane or Jane-o is fine. The red orange rocks, blue violet sky (high altitude = more vivid sky) and yellow green trees make a perfect color wheel triad to make for a striking landscape.

Very neat little puzzle.

The green was fun to solve.

very awesome first puzzle! Beautiful

Fun puzzle! There's something very satisfying when you sit and stare at a one third solved screen and can't see anything. Suddenly, 1 little thing pops out for which there is no other answer and bing, bang, boom, everything falls into place. The green part of this puzzle went just like that for me.

One year on and it's still a fantastic puzzle! Haha. Lovely image and very fun to solve. Thank you! :)

So more than a year has passed and I really liked this puzzle. I think it is the best flower puzzle I have done. It's amazing it was your first puzzle. I'll have to check to see if you have made more.

And here am I, by coincidence right after Edith. This is marvellous for any puzzle, let alone a first one.

I am Canadian, but I have visited my sister in Vail and Denver. Once on a side trip I spent a night in Colorado Springs intending to visit Garden of the Gods and other sights, but was so taken by it the first day I went back the second day and never did go anywhere else before continuing on to New Mexico. It is gorgeous, as your beautiful photos show. Aren't you lucky to live only 15 minutes away.

I should have said the first time (but Lollipop inspired me to) that my daughter used to live near Fort Collins and when we visited her she took us to Garden of the Gods. What a small world.

Sure is, Edith.
