tough!
I had to concentrate much.
Your puzzles ever have this specialty.

what an awesome puzzle! it's so small, but the color logic was very much fun.

Thanks Kai-Uwe and Al. I actually started this out as a 5x5 "5 queens" puzzle, but then I decided to extend out the rotational pattern to a larger puzzle. So you if focus on the center 5x5 grid, you can see the "5 queens". :)

Wonderful solve.

Thanks Adam and ant.

Excellent puzzle, Gator. I was having a really hard time following the color logic, but I stuck with it and I'm so glad I did. I was surprised at how pretty the pattern was. Great design.

Thanks Teresa! I tried to make each color look like a line that loops. If you focus on the red color (easiest to see IMO), start in the top left, connect the dots down and then to the left, loop back up to the right, then loop back down to the lower left.

That was tough, but definitely worth it.

Gator, re: comment #3, please explain "5 queens". thx

Normally an 8-queen puzzle on an 8x8 board (standard chess board), but in this case only 5 queens on a 5x5 board.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eight_queens_puzzle

So if you focus on one color (say black), you will see 5 black cells. Following chess rules for queens, they cannot attack each other (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).

I did the eight queens (both yours and the other), but this one was too much of a headache. I am not a fan of this type of puzzle.

Very enjoyable puzzle!

When I saw the title I read "Rational Color Changing." I started at the bottom right and I thought "there is nothing rational about this." But the more I did it started to make sense.

Fun!

I liked this puzzle a lot! I had been reluctant to start it with the "Save" function not working but did it in less than a half hour, purely logic.
