Puzzle Description:

Indus signs of life in the big city. I know, it looks like an Easter egg and a butterfly. Or maybe an angel. Nope. Explanation in the comments.

After you have solved the right side and the border, do some edge logic with the 10 in C18, and the rest is line logic.

A bold or hollow X is believed to mean "street" and the hollow X in an oval represents "city." The X on the right with the double vertical line enclosed in reverse parentheses is a compound sign combining "street" with "share of the crop." It is believed that this is the marking for the share of the crop that is paid for street protection in the city, sort of like a municipal tax.

great puzzle - wish they were all solvable like this one without any guessing - and hard too - get rid of all those stupid easy or unsolvable ones!!!!!

Thanks again Teresa, for another quality puzzle..This one was a bit of a challenge for me.

That one was tricky :)

#3 - The easy ones do have their purpose. New puzzle solvers (I have a friend at work who won't do anything beyond a 10x10), or for a quick puzzle fix. I frequently don't have time to do a difficult puzzle but need something to kill a few minutes.

Unsolvable ones are a whole different issue!

Not quite sure how I solved this. But I did and had great fun doing so.
