Kind of simple, but at least lots of chances to use the new "h" and "k" keyboard shortcuts.

Extremely easy - I solved it without looking at the clues more than once. But the final result is very pretty in a seventies pop cultural kind of way.

Imagine if the yellow colour was in the program......

I would like to support yellow someday, but I think there are advantages in limiting the range of colors available. I've seen sights that offer dozens of different colors, and people end up posting puzzles with dozens of different colors in them. The final result may be pretty, but the puzzles like that are rarely very interesting to solve.

Once you figure out the pattern, it's unfortunately too easy to stop looking at the clues.

what's the k button do again? I finally got used to the h and v buttons.

What's the technique on those h and v buttons anyway? Do you hold the key down when you click?

hold your pointer over the row or column you want to fill in. Then hit the H for horizontal or V for vertical. If the whole row needs to be filled in, it will do it automatically. If you want to color only a certain area, the make the "ends" of the section you want to fill the color you desire, then use the H or V.

They are a bit hard to explain.

If you hit the "h" key and the mouse is over an unmarked square, the program will look to the left and right of that square for the first marked squares on either side of your current square. If both are the same color, it will fill in the row between those points with that color. If one is marked and the other is the edge of the board, it will fill from the marked cell to the edge of the board with that color. If both are edges of the board, it looks at the clue and fills in the whole row with the proper color if the clue makes it obvious that the row is all one color.

It doesn't work well on Macintoshes, because Macintoshes don't want you to be using the keyboard and the mouse at the same time.

I have a Mac and it works fine. I just have to click on the box, not hover.
