Mark, I don't think I can solve your puzzle. It's so big I can't see the numbers. It also locks up my computer because it uses all my available memory. There have been a recent string of really big puzzles and this has been a problem with those too. I guess if you design a puzzle that doesn't fit in the screen, it really becomes a challenge to sovle. I'm being slightly hypocritical because my puzzle, The Whopper, was quite large - thus the name was my appology. I commend you on the huge amount of time you must have spent designing it, it's just a shame I'll never see what's in Colorado!

That's too bad because I think it's a good one if you watch cartoons. Can you do it if you change your resolution or click on the smaller puzzle button. I also apologize for it's width, but I struggled fitting the image on the width it is.

The locking up problem may be helped by turning off error checking. I have a huge monitor that I normally run at 1600x1024, so I can enlarge the browser window enough to see it all. I'm not having much luck solving the bottom half it though. I'll keep trying. Not ready to give up yet.

Well, I'm convinced that it has only one solution.

Whether it's solvable by mere mortals applying mere mortal logic, I don't know.

I was able to finsish the top half by: filling in where the blue and green can go on the left first. The crescent blue moon shape here is easier to finish if you pay attention to the one and only blue 7 column. Then jump over to the blue and red sections on the right. After you fill in the top right the top middle/right should be possible. Good Luck on the bottom. Sorry so wide.

Yeah, the top half isn't terribly hard. The bottom borders on the impossible. I used trial and error with lots of backtracking to prove to myself that only one solution was possible.

There is a limit on puzzle sizes. I think it's 100x100 or maybe 99x99. Kind of a loose limit, but I figure if people don't like solving big puzzles, then they can just skip them and move along to the next one.

Of course, those of us who undertake to solve every puzzle on the site are going to feel some pain from time to time.

An option to move or duplicate the clues onto the right/bottom edges would certainly be possible, and is something I've often thought about doing. Maybe I'll get around to it someday.

Nicely rendered. Too bad it's not solvable without guessing or peeking.

I solved the top, colored parts, and figured out who the characters were going to be. It's much too large for me to keep scrolling, and from the comments it sounds like I'd have to guess anyway.

solved, with a few reverts. Unique solution.

I remember solving this before the crash and thinking it was nearly impossible. This time I had no trouble. I think you gain skills to solve as you do more. Finding patterns in the numbers is the best way to solve this.

I guess the 11 years from the early comments have seen a boost in technology - I had 1 lockup and that was probably because I had a number of FireFox tabs open. As far as logic went, I think I cheated the system twice but everything else fell together.

Solved again for the third time. It does get easier. It helps to look at the patterns the numbers make to solve it
