Puzzle Description:

Two symbols of faith and trust in God. The cross inside the circle inside the heart is a symbol of providence. The "Staff of Life" is a symbol of God's grace.

The saying that goes with they one on the left: ONYANKOPON ADOM NTI BIRIBIARA BEYE YIE - "By God's grace, all will be well."

On the right: NYAME NTI means "by God's grace." The Adinkra Dictionary states that for the Akan, "food is a basis of life and that they could not survive if not for the food that God has placed here on Earth for their nourishment."

These symbols are all from the Akan culture in Ghana, and some of their symbolism is an expression of their spirituality. That doesn't necessarily mean that these puzzles are religious, and so they are not noted as such in the title. I think most will agree that they are just cultural art.

nice one. I like the wheat one. It reminds me of some of the European art history classes I took in college. In some religious paintings from the 1400-1500s they used wheat to symbolized the "bread of life" or belief/faith in Christ/God. I find it interesting that the symbol means the same on another continent. :)
