Duran from Seiken Densetsu 3. I hope that the arms look right.

I couldn't tell what this was. Then I saw his face, and then his right arm extended, with his hand open (like he is casting a spell or a fireball or something). This is the image he based this puzzle on, but I couldn't find a larger image to post. I am sure there one probably exists, but I was too lazy to look more.

It's way tiny! How could you even see any detail?

Ctrl + on Firefox zooms in. And I usually use MS paint to edit the source image into 5 colors first.

Can't see any image. Too much work with little satisfaction.

Disappointing.

Whenever I see a fantastic puzzle like this, especially with so much white, I always wonder if it was designed to be challenging or if its just an accident of the way the image worked out. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the puzzle. Thank you.

Not a source I'm familiar with, so not *quite* as satisfying, but I still enjoyed solving it with the variety in the shading
