Ear worm planted! I had no idea what I was looking at until I read your description and then it completely came into focus. BEAUTIFUL. Funny how the red can look kind of orange when it's supposed to. And it almost fits your homophones series, too!
PS My 6-year-old daughter says "it looks like the bottom of some beautiful butterfly wings." I see that, too, though it doesn't work as well with your clever description!

I was googling something else just now and found out that the coming Chinese New Year on February 14, 2010 begins the Year of the Tiger.

Sweet I'm a tiger.

Wow. I couldn't see what it was until the end, but the whole time I just kept thinking of the KFC guy. ^_^ It doesn't really look anything like Colonel Sanders, but part of the first bit I solved looked like his hair, and the colors were right, so I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Really beautiful, especially if you look at it from a distance to get the full image. Great job!
