Puzzle Description:

"Resolved, That the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."

I watched a video a few year ago that depicted the historical origins of the flag. The description was sent out to let the new United States know what the flag would look like. But without an actual picture or specific directions, the original Flag Act of 1777 led to quite an array of flag designs.

I know this flag is not the correct official flag, yet it still fits the description stated in the Flag Act.

There was a suggestion made recently that flag puzzles are best when covered up with something. I'd like to expand on that and say covered up with something cute and/or clever. :D

At least this was different from the others.

ditto #3 and I enjoyed the small history lesson. :)

As one (the one?) who expressed annoyment at all the flag puzzles, this one is quite different, and appreciated.

If it turns into an endless series of technically correct variations, the enjoyment will wear thin.

But until that happens, thanks for turning a monotonous theme into something unique.
