I was enjoying this puzzle very much, and had spent quite a bit of time on it when my computer required rebooting and I lost it. :(

So, thank you for the fun, and after peeking I can safely say "The finished image is great!"

besmirched tea, I believe that all speed is relative to the source. The beam of light would 'only' be traveling at the speed of light. Consider shining a flashlight anywhere on Earth. That also is traveling at the speed of light. Yet the Earth is not only revolving, but also rotating around the sun, Which is orbiting around the center of our galaxy, which itself is traveling through space. We're already going at a considerable speed, yet the light beam is traveling at the speed of light, relative to us. Beyond this, and I get a headache.
