Puzzle Description:

A bird flying through the sky

#1: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 30, 2009

Interesting perspective. Fun to solve.
#2: jewel crown (jewel) on Dec 30, 2009
A very colorful bird.....must be a parrot. Thanks.
#3: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 30, 2009 [SPOILER]
He is called a black-backed green flyer. LOL
#4: John Breckenridge (jbrecken) on Dec 30, 2009 [SPOILER]
Is that blue clouds in a white sky?
#5: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Jan 2, 2010
I thought this was fun to do and had a rewarding picture at the end. Thank you!
#6: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jan 3, 2010 [HINT]
Neat perspective. Very nice use of color to define the body.
#7: Fran (rmm) on Jan 4, 2010
Dead men tell no tales!
#8: Matt Coulter (mcoulter) on Jan 4, 2010 [SPOILER]
Dude, that is one fat bird. Maybe the blue is the sweat from his attempts to stay airborne?
#9: Jane Doe (telly) on Jan 7, 2010 [SPOILER]
He ain't fat, he's fluffy. (must be said with a southern (US) drawl.)
ditto #1
#10: Fran (rmm) on Jan 7, 2010
Very pretty
#11: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jan 8, 2010 [SPOILER]
I'd have to agree with #2 and disagree with #3. This very much looks like a military macaw or buffon's macaw.
#12: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 8, 2010 [SPOILER]
How can you disagree with #3? I made up a silly name, describing him exactly as he is in the puzzle. Unless you did a different puzzle, he has a black back, green body, and he is flying, is he not?
#13: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jan 9, 2010 [SPOILER]
Only because #3 disagrees with #2 which agrees with my assessment that this bird is indeed a parrot, specifically a variety of macaw.

Hope it works, see this link:

<smile>
#14: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 9, 2010 [SPOILER]
Why couldn't you agree with both (yes the link worked fine)?
#15: Byrdie (byrdie) on Jan 9, 2010
I see you edited out the word "No" and since it's soooo important to you, I will now agree with you.

lol

#16: Cro-Magnon (Hermit) on Jan 11, 2010 [HINT] [SPOILER]
Well, despite the lack of blue flight feathers (Military Macaws have blue flight feathers), and the black spot (which does not appear on a Military Macaw), and the fluffy/chunky/plump appearance, it is a Military Macaw. ... Why? Because even though black-backed green flyer seems an appropriate name, if MByrdie says it is a Military Macaw, then it is, simply because MByrdie says so!
LMAO!!
#17: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 11, 2010
LOL, Cro. Thanks for the chuckle that gave me. I have been following your "debate" with him, which, in case anyone who reads this thread of comments is wondering, serves as the basis for this joke.
#18: M (rmm) on Jan 11, 2010
LOL Cro you're so funny :D
#19: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 11, 2010
I guess if "Martin (byrdie)" were placed instead of "MB," it might make more sense to others who read this.
#20: M (rmm) on Jan 11, 2010
Oh, I thought MB was monkeyboy
#21: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 11, 2010
Fran, Fran, Fran. Don't worry your little head over it. You just don't understand. It's ok.

For the record, I never called him a military macaw; that was Martin. If you understood that, you wouldn't have bothered even butting in.
#22: M (rmm) on Jan 11, 2010
LOL MB you're so funny :D
#23: Cro-Magnon (Hermit) on Jan 11, 2010
Yeah, #16 might have been a bit unclear. Thanks for pointing that out, Adam and Fran-M. :-) I didn't realize that MB might be interpreted as 'monkeyboy'. Oops. So I fixed it up ... partially. ;-)
(But I liked 'MB', so now what will I do??)
#24: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Jan 11, 2010
You can keep using it, Cro... I will know it's not me.
#25: EmPhantom99 (emphantom99) on Jan 17, 2010 [SPOILER]
To answer the clouds question, its more like the sky is mostly clouds and there's bits of sky peeking through. and the bird wasn't supposed to be any specific type of bird.....I was just going for "bird".....
#26: m2 (mercymercy) on Sep 4, 2010 [SPOILER]
I'm gonna take a chance and disagree with #3 because if it were black backed then we would not see the sky in the background but the ground... so he must at least be black bellied. ;)
#27: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 4, 2010 [SPOILER]
He could be flying over the ocean (blue) with lots of waves present(white). Or he could also just be very luminescent, and just glowing (to account for the white).
