Puzzle Description:
The Prophet (book by Kahlil Gibran) and The Profit (that the wealthy made this past year, but you and I did not)

"And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation."#2: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 24, 2009 [SPOILER]
If you buy "The Prophet" for $10 from the following link, my son John (the one who has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) will make a profit of fifty cents. Don't laugh - this is how he pays for his cell phone (which is currently out of minutes).#3: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Dec 26, 2009 [SPOILER]
See, I made another homophone connection! :-)
...um would be a home phone connection.#4: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 26, 2009 [SPOILER]
I thought it was going to be "currency" so I actually got the the current-cy connection (a la John) before the "prophet" connection lol!
By the way, I discovered The Prophet way back in the 60's and have lived my life trying to incorporate its message into my sphere of influence. I do the best I can, but its a hard book to live up to in America.
Good one, JoDeen. Keep those clever quips coming.#5: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Dec 26, 2009 [SPOILER]
I was hoping that those who remember the book from the 60's would recognize the cover image. I just learned that Gibran wrote this in 1923. It has never been out of print, and is one of the best selling books in the U.S.
I am currently working on a currency puzzle that has nothing to do with money. :-)
Money talks... all mine ever says is "goodbye."#6: Cecily (TheLorax) on Dec 27, 2009 [SPOILER]
Nice puzzle.
I enjoyed The Prophet. If you liked it, I highly recommend Illusions by Richard Bach.#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 27, 2009
Thanks, Cecily, I'll take a look at it.#8: Fran (rmm) on Jan 5, 2010
What about cache and cash?#9: Diana W (aeris) on Apr 17, 2011 [SPOILER]
I like the quote. I kept trying to think of something to match with they dollar sign, but I couldn't think of anything to go with 'money', 'dollar', 'moolah', or anything like that. :)#10: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Jun 7, 2011
