Puzzle Description:

Gonzo

#1: Jan Wolter (jan) on Nov 29, 2009 [SPOILER]

Well, I know the Great Gonzo shares a name with Hunter S Thompson's brand of journalism, but I don't know how lawyers enter into the story.

To be fair to Oscar Acosta, Dr. Gonzo was Raoul Duke's lawyer.

To expand on what David said, "Dr. Gonzo" was a character based on Oscar Acosta in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, who was Raoul Duke's Lawyer; Raoul Duke being the character based on Hunter S. Thompson. The term "Gonzo Journalism" came later, named after Dr. Gonzo.

Ummmmm....this doesn't look like Gonzo to me...but then I'm not a lawyer. Uh, and since when does Oscar have the last name Acosta?...unless...is Acosta spanish for Grouch? ...and who the heck is Raoul?

Raoul Duke was the fictional character and antihero based on Hunter S. Thompson in his autobiographical novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... Thompson based Gonzo on his friend the civil rights lawyer Oscar Zeta Acosta.
