We actually had carrots and carats *together* in a family tale. Thirteen years ago we were waiting for my equestrian daughter's first purchased horse to arrive while she was out of the country. I had told her that he would be transported here the week after her return, knowing that he would in fact arrive earlier. Her boyfriend picked her up at the airport and drove her straight to the stable, where her new horse was her first surprise. Then he handed her a bunch of carrots, allegedly as a treat for her horse, but he had slipped an engagement ring on one of the carrots.#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on May 24, 2013
She always said she didn't remember whether she hugged her horse or her fiancé first. I'm not sure which would have been the right thing to do, because her fiancé is now her ex-husband, but we still have the horse, lol.
