What's with all the blank comments, Adam?#4: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 9, 2009
Mostly this puzzle is solvable, but the four red circles have alternate solutions. Easy enough to guess though.
Knowing me, wouldn't you rather have me leave blank comments than "nasty" ones? I know most of you would.#5: Gator (Gator) on Nov 9, 2009
Anyway, I like to read people's comments, and occasionally enter one myself. Sometimes I just don't have anything to say (this puzzle, for example). If I don't comment, I don't know when others have commented without going back in every time and manually checking. There are just too many puzzles to do that. It is just easier to leave a blank comment. Make sense?
I was under the impression that comments work different than that. I get new comment replies to any puzzle thread as long as I have solved the puzzle even if I have not commented on the puzzle (for example, this one).#6: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 9, 2009
My "Show" option is set to "New Comments for Solved Puzzles".
Yes, that is the default setting. But look how many puzzles come up under that. All of them. It's much easier this way.#7: Jan Wolter (jan) on Nov 10, 2009
Adam has pretty much every puzzle on the system marked as solved. So the "New Comments for Solved Puzzles" probably doesn't work too well for him.#8: Martha Valdés (maval) on Feb 14, 2012
WOT ... Multiple solutions puzzles aren't PBN puzzles.
