The title song is from Casablanca ("Play it, Sam.")

Never seen it or even heard of it. Fun to solve, though.

Thanks, Adam. I don't think it was aired in the U.S., so I probably watched it when I traveled to Canada. And YouTube. I travel there more often lately. :-)

Actually, it was aired quite frequently on our local PBS stations - re-runs of course.

It's been rerun on Maryland Public TV most weekday afternoons for the past several years. I enjoy watching it when I can.

I just checked, and it is still running on Saturdays and Sundays. I haven't watched the show in many months, but I have seen quite a few episodes over the years. Other British sitcoms I like are "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Are You Being Served?".

I love the show! Lovely low-keyed humor.
#8: Joseph Jessen (gijoex2) on Sep 16, 2009
My wife and I love this show, and I loved this puzzle.

Thanks, Joseph (or do you prefer to be called "Joe">)
#10: Debbie Weidig (dweidig) on Sep 18, 2009 [SPOILER]
I also love this show, as I do most things with Judi Dench in them. Good job on this likeness of the daughter!

Thanks, DW.

Ditto DWeidig. I love this show. PBS airs it in Iowa. I think I've seen every episode over the years. Fun puzzle, T!

Thanks, JoDeen.

The only British shows I can think of are "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" and "Doctor Who", but from that sampling I like them. :) Very good job of doing a pretty face in a few pixels, and the clock is a nice touch.

very nice! and a very interesting solve: as i was solving the face, her eyes were looking to her right, and then a few more pixels - and she was looking to her left! very fun. and as always, a satisfying image at the end. the only british show i watched until recently was "are you being served". of course i like "old school" british humour like benny hill. but i also like mr. bean, too!
