This might be terribly irrelevant but it's what came to mind when seeing the result...

One of my best friends is dating a man named JAMES BOND.

What WAS his parents thinking??? ;-)

LOL Petra!

James Bond has given people the misconception that martinis should always be shaken, not stirred. Bond likes vodka martinis. Gin martinis are better stirred, not shaken.

Cute little puzzle. Fun.
#6: Jota (jota) on Sep 4, 2009
Vodka martini with onions, that's what I like to have once in a while.

I enjoyed this puzzle. It solved interesting, the picture was a distinct "huh? what?" until I saw the explanation which made it totally click. As BlackCat says, "Fun."

Thanks!

James Bond (the one my friend is dating) was driving his car, his best friend sat next to him. The police pulled him over and asked to see his driver's license. He'd forgotten it at home, so the policeman asked what his name was.

That's when his friend started laughing hysterically.

Thiss keeps popping up as unsolved and yet when I click on it the page for saved puzzles comes up. I get on load and the solved riddle appears. What's up? This has happened on several other puzzles lately as well.
#13: Jota (jota) on Sep 25, 2009
Jan would have to say Blackcat, I have no idea.
#14: Jan Wolter (jan) on Sep 26, 2009
Hmm...I looked at the database and it looks normal. I used a trick that lets me log in as you, and I didn't see it on the list of unsolved puzzles or on the list of saved puzzles. So I'm not seeing the problem. Maybe it fixed itself?

#18: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 12, 2009
What is your problem? I just asked what you meant by your comment. Why get all pissy with me?
#19: Jota (jota) on Nov 13, 2009
Hey! no fighting in my puzzles! Elf what's "carp" in the context of your comment here? No need to attack others!
#20: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 13, 2009
Thank you, Jota.
#21: Jota (jota) on Nov 13, 2009
You're a 100% right Adam.
#22: Eludwar (elfluvsdwarf) on Nov 13, 2009
You didn't ask me what I meant by my comment. You just put a bunch of ????????. Next time use your english words unless you like me trying to interpret what you're thinking. Not my fault I didn't understand what you meant by ???????
#23: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 13, 2009
Then why don't YOU ask me what I meant instead of attacking. If you expect me to do it, then I expect you to do so as well.
#24: Eludwar (elfluvsdwarf) on Nov 13, 2009

You're welcome!

I like this puzz, Jota. I see you made a comment about martinis and onions. Once upon a long time ago I worked in a high end restaurant in San Francisco for a few months. I brought drinks to the patrons' tables. We had to garnish the drinks before we delivered them. I seem to remember that if someone ordered a "Gibson," it was their choice of bar or call liquor in a martini glass and I would garnish it with a cocktail onion (or two or three)on a pretty toothpick. If the garnish was an olive, it was a martini...if the exact same drink was garnished with a cocktail onion, it was a Gibson.
#31: Jota (jota) on Jun 15, 2022
Correct JoDeen! You've got it!
#32: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Jun 15, 2022 [SPOILER]
If I were rehearsing at the theatre and someone said that, Jota...someone else (or I) would repeat,"By George, I think she's (I've) got it!"...which would then segue into an impromptu "bullfight skirmish," with someone singing,"The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain...." Lol
#33: Jota (jota) on Jun 17, 2022
LOL!!!
