Puzzle Description:

Scarab. Embodiment of the god Khepri. I'd like to know why would a god want to be embodied as a dung beetle.

Good question and wonderful puzzle. Despite the title I kept seeing a clown until 3/4 done and then I was totally confused. Great fun!

My understanding was that the ancient Egyptians believed that a dung beetle rolled the sun through the sky. Gorgeous puzzle.

Ah-- nice. The pic I copied was in color, and the ball at the top was yellow- clearly the sun. In B&W it could be a dung ball!

Blackcat, do you think there might be an Egyptian clown god? I'd like to see that!

Thanks for the compliments.

It was very entertaining to solve and not too easy or too difficult. People believe the strangest things will bring them luck!

Fantastic puzzle. Nice image - it was fun to see the scarab beetle appear. And it was just the right amount of challenge. :-)

I did not see the real image until I was done. I really thought it was the muzzle of a dog or lion. Once finished, its amazing.
