I made it through my midlife crisis relatively economically. I bought lots and lots and lots of LEGO. I'm over it now, and the kids like to play with it.

Debra has Naneki made a puzzle of you with your long hair yet?
If not, she really needs your photo.
Also, would it be possible to hire Raul without the pool? ;)
#9: Debra Greene (dlegreen) on Mar 4, 2008
It is definitely possible, but a little harder to explain - perhaps a gardener named Raul! I have no pictures as yet, I will work on it.
#10: Gypso (Gypso) on Mar 4, 2008
Raul the Gardner might work. Good thinking Debra! :D
#11: Arduinna (arduinna) on Mar 5, 2008
I used to tell everyone I didn't want any children. Of course, everyone knows that something *must* be wrong with you if you are a woman and don't want children. One day, a nosy person at work asked me, "But, who will take care of you when you're old?" Without hesitation, I answered, "Well, with all the money I'll save from not having children, I'll hire a male nurse named Enrique to give me sponge baths everyday." She was properly shocked.

Of course, since then, I've turned 30, and something has taken over my mind and convinced me that I must have a baby. But, if I'm careful, I think I can still save up enough money to hire Enrique when the time comes. (Junior will appreciate not having to take care of me, and he doesn't need an inheritance anyway.)

Of course, a pool boy like Raul might be more fun! Decisions, decisions...

I told my sister's first born he has to take care of me. Every time I ask he agrees. We'll see what he says when he actually knows what it means.
#13: Gypso (Gypso) on Mar 5, 2008
Lol Arduinna and Bionerd. Those are 2 GREAT solutions! :D
#14: Jan Wolter (jan) on Mar 7, 2008
I have an aunt back in Germany who never had any kids, but was always helping take care of everyone else. Now she's in her 70's and needs taking care of. She has no resistance to worthy charities or unworthy old-people scams and is short on money. Of all her nieces and nephews, 30% are willing and able to provide financial support, 10% are willing and able to help her with her day to day arrangements, and 10% pre-deceased her. I think it'll be enough. So, if you are going with the nephew plan, you need to make sure you've got lots and lots of nieces and nephews. I think you should slip your siblings fertility drugs.

I wouldn't wish that on my sister or the kids. Haha. I think two is enough for her.

#16: Arduinna (arduinna) on Mar 7, 2008
A new meaning to life insurance, hey?
#17: Gypso (Gypso) on Mar 7, 2008
Lol. It's "A" plan anyway. ;)
#18: Jota (Jota) on Aug 22, 2008
If you had such a nice car ... lot's of people will want to take care of you!
#19: Arduinna (arduinna) on Aug 22, 2008
Yes! Whoever takes care of me will be remembered in my will!
